Fly rod fun in the canals west of the cruise docks(other side of the river near Carrs Park) at Port Canaveral. Juvenile Tarpon and others. Local fly shops can probably tell you more than I.
    Wake me up early,
    Be good to my dogs,
and teach my children to pray.

OK,........ How-you've done it..... Ya told everyone that your ........ NEW. ...... Southern Hospitality Demands that we stop what we are doing and shake your hand and welcome you to the room. Well here goes. Welcome Aboard. You have just stumbled acrossed the meeting place where all of the serious crappie fishermen in Gerogia and Florida meet. These guys will tell you everything except the exact location of thier Hunny Holes. You were pretty close to correct when you called them fly-rods all of mine are 10'-12' long with an ultra-lite spinning reel at the base. The rod unlike fly-rods have guides all the way to the tip. Never fish with line larger than 4lb test. Yeah you break off but you will get twice the bites. The crappie will start in the spring in the deep and slowly work thier way to the shallows with each warming day. By April they are in water 2' deep and spawning. The 12' rod hepls you pitch the small holes in the pads or allow you to stagger/space out while trolling. You'll get the hang of it pretty fast. soon you'll be posting your big-un or big-uns
and having the time of your life. Welcome Aboard
