lots of good fishing in that area just check with local tackle shops
You have some great lakes, but you will have to travel 45 mins plus. There will be some slabfests around the center of the state. Just keep in touch with crappie.com.

sounds like a snook and redfish place to me, a few of them on topwater plugs and speckled perch will be on the back burner.--shu

You are in the middle of some good red fish and snook fishing. check the season . I can assume that you know the fresh water fishing is North , east and south of you. There is some great fresh water in polk county. Lake Kississimee is the best around . Lake Toho is great also. Central Fla has the best Bass and Crappie in the south.
yes ive heard about the red fish and snook are they both good to eat? been reading on snook, sounds like there great fighters, with lots sharp teeth. will talk to locals for sure about where and when, thanks for the input to you all...will be living at tworiversmhp on lazy ave...so ready for retirement and lots fishing..

Favorite fish to eat=scamp then snook and i realize that half of the 'sport' fishermen will faint when someone says to EAT a snook.--shu
