Default Florida slabfest on Harris info.

For those of you that are confirmed to attend or contemplating enjoying the day on Harris with the Florida/Georgia guys & girls, just a quick update. Although we will have a non-specific launch site/time on the 28th, the 1:00 pm 7 fish per boat weigh in will be at Hickory Point(Lake Harris near Howey bridge). Anybody that is bringing things with any "urgency" could meet FLYCASTER @the Harris side of the Dead river access around 10:00 or so. He will be generously cutting his fishin' short at that time to do the shoreline structuring at the Park. Also, anybody else that is returning to the shoreline prep may be able to shuttle things from another meeting point around then too if they want. Respond to this thread or pm message your needs to someone, thanks. Should be a great bite on the Harris Chain that day!

I will be fishing from my pontoon boat. 21 foot suntracker.
Will try to be at the dead river on the Harris Lake end prior to 10:00 AM.
Will transfer any items that you may need to have transported to Hickory Point.
Side Note:
GATES ARE TO BE OPENED for those who will be launching at Hickory Point.
The Right Hand side lane is scheduled to be open before sunrise.

We here in Georgia have been doing this for a few years now and it is a great event for alot of family fun and fellowship. It is so great to see ya'll having these get togethers. I will tell you that they get better as you have more of them. Maybe we cvan get together and have a "Ga/Fla SLabfest" in the future. If ya'll ever need any info or help please feel free to PM me and I will try my best to help out. GOD bless everyone.

You can help out by coming on down and being our ground man. We can use all of the good help that we can gardner.
Thanks for all of your helpful hints.

This is our fishing grounds for this weekend.
It looks like the weather is going to be in our favor for this weekend and hope everyone has a good time.

The Harris Chain of Lakes

The Harris (Oklawaha) Chain consists of 9 lakes and boasts over 76,000 acres of extremely fertile water. The lakes contain a primary cover of Kissimmee grass, eel grass, lily pads, reeds and bulrushes. This is home to some of the biggest largemouth bass in Florida with 10 pounders being angled on a regular basis. Speckled perch (crappie), blue gills, and redear sunfish (shellcracker) also abound in the chain.

Far as I know, will still be there. May fish with EJL, if he will have me in the same boat.
