OK, drove the hour & quarter down to the Vero Beach exit on I-95 and met my good friend Robin (from Catfish1.com) at the Shell station.
Buzzed on over to the lake and proceeded to get-er-done !

Made a small run to spot #1 and started looking for Bluegill/cats. Was a bit slow to start,

but eventually we got a few and indeed the day was a good one.

Many thanks to Robin for inviting me down and showing me around.
We were almost afraid we'd catch some rain but only got an occasional drop. Was overcast and cool so that was a plus for comfort.

I'm guessing by all of the open water I see in your pics, you must have been in the "Pit". I catch nice crappie in there every month of the year. Been catching so many cats in the Farm Pond recently, they are a nuiscance as I don't keep them.

Robin said it was called the "pit".
Nice and deep in some places, He was somewhat disappointed that we didn't do better. He said he always got a mess there. I liked the way he fishes, he'd say "time" to move, and we'd move maybe 25 yards then start fishin again.
He called me up the other day wanting to go fishing again, man, I love the fishing but that is a trip all the way down there. It wore me out coming back. I put the fish on ice (he let me have all of em) and hit the bed for a few hours sleep, then got up and did the cleaning thing, etc.
Yep, I love you guys that let me have the fish, I'll take em every time if ya'll want to give em up, and always appreciate it !!!
