Went this past weekend. Caught 18 fish Saturday morning after the rain shower. Nice slab males. After that, I caught only small ones in the PM and Sunday Morning. It appears that the spawn may be over. What do you all think? Is it done? I thought maybe they would still be in Blounts Creek close to the dam but only caught one fish in there.

The peak is definitely over, but you may have a few good days or late spawners from time to time.

I cleaned about 90 from down there last week and there were probably only 5 males out of the bunch with the females being anywhere from just a few eggs to looking ready to bust with bright bloody veins and the like....I caught my fish in 5-8 foot of water "running" the banks with 32nd ounce jigs hauling butt.....lots of 11 inch fish on Wednesday afternoon, but Friday morning I caught fish as good as I did this past winter.....

Maybe your right. I caught "ALL" males and was fishing in 2-4 ft of water. It's been a strange season. Most of the fish in shadow water has been males. I thought maybe I just missed the females during the week since I only can go on the weekends. Can't go this weekend. But keep me updated. What creek was you in? I fished Freemans and Blount last weekend. Blounts has been a no-go so far this year. Last year I killed them there but not this year.
