Default Tough Times Don't Last, Tough Fisherman Do.

This can be the time when most crappie anglers stop chashing the elusive 3lber. Its easy to say" the crappie just ain't eatin'". I used to give up at this time of year and start targeting someother species. But there will be a short transition and the the crappie will become very predictable and easy to target. I have had my best days of large fish catching, in the heat of the summer, than I ever had in the winter or spring months. Once you find these fish they will begin to clump back up and move together.

This is my self-motivational spech to myself. Hopefully this will keep me in the game with the right thought process!

Keep your bait wet

also about that time the menhaden will be back on the St.Johns where you can nail a pod with the cast net and in 1 throw you have bait for days. thats goooooood fishin!
