Default SLABFEST November 4, 2009 Plam Island Park, Mt Dora, FL

The votes are in and it looks like Palm Island Park, Mt. Dora has garnered the most votes, and we will meet Wednesday November 4, 2009. Park is open from sunrise to sunset.
We should plan on being back at the dock by 12:00 NOON, which will give us time to check fish in, weigh and measure, clean and start to cook.

ITEMS THAT WE NEED TO SUPPLY

Chime in with the items that you would like to provide and I will note your intentions on the list.

I have water hose and electric cord extensions.

FISH FRYER with propane gas Should have TWO fryers, one for fish and second for hush puppies or other fried items.

ONE gallon oil Speckanator and pontoon pappy

disposable aluminum pans for fried items flycaster

cooking oil 1 gallon chunky

corn meal base fish batter chunky

Hush Puppy Mix chunky

desserts Speckanator and pontoon pappy

French Fry Potatoes

Cold Salads [suggestions]( Potato Salad, Macaroni Salad, Cole Slaw) spec tater wife's pasta salad

baked beans onions Chuckauten

salt & pepper shakers chunky

Ketchup flycaster

hot sauce chunky

Tartar Sauce Speckanator and pontoon pappy

Soft Drinks (Cola, Ice Tea, Water) 1 gal. teaSpeckanator and pontoon pappy soft drinks chunky

Ice for drinks Speckanator and pontoon pappy

Disposable Table covering chuckauten

Disposable forks, knives flycaster

Disposable Plates flycaster

Disposable Cups Speckanator and pontoon pappy

How about specific directions to the boat ramp. My map shows 2 lauching ramps, but no names.

Here is a link that I found by googling palm island park, mt dora, fl.
Google Maps
For directions, it would depend on how you approached Mt Dora.
Let us know if this only confuses you

Pontoon pappy and I will bring: 1 gal oil, 1 fish fryer, plastic cups, water hose and electric cord, electric filet knife (2), dessert, bag of ice, 1 gal. tea, and tarter sauce.
John, thanks for your hard work. I wish everyone could make it,but I'm sure we can come up with a solution.
