Default Chuck Auten - Terre Haute

Hey Chuck, when did you start chasing the slabs?

I believe the last time I saw you was at a NightCrawlers Bass Club meeting in North Terre Haute.

I have retired and moved just east of Lake Wales, Florida.....right on the water at Saddlebag Lake.

Been a long time, I talked to Dusty Pine a few months ago, I guess he has skin cancer real bad and has pretty much gave up the fishing.

Best of the best,
Mike Readinger AKA: VV

I talked with Chuck last Friday. He was getting ready to leave for Kentucky for a couple of days them heading to Lake Talquin for a couple of days before headed back to his home in FL. Hopefully he can hook up with me the last weekend of this month and do some fishing with me at Talquin!

Has he given you your free package of 10,000 glass/plastic "Rattlers" yet?

Hey I'm back. Fished Talquin this morning, never got a hit. Glad to hear that you are in FL. How about joining us at the next slabfest. I haven't had a chance to check on it, but will. You are bringing up old memories.

Sorry to hear about Dusty's challenges. Hope things work out for him.

After I get my schedule done for the month, maybe we can get together and fish.

My cell phone is 812-249-0066.

Thanks Tim. Rusty needs to talk to you. His oldest son burn his foot control. Needs your unit.

Talk to you later.

PS Mike, you have found the best kept secret in crappie fishing. These guys are a wealth of information. Learn to use the seach capability.

Chuck

It was my pleasure to finally met you. How did you do after I left? Sure marked a lot of fish, but they had lockjaw. It was cold but beautiful. I have made up my mind and I am going to sell my house and buy a fifth wheel. Met a man at a rest park in norhtern AL and he had sold his house, bought a diesel truch, fifth wheel 28.5 ft Jayco and pulled his boat behind. They man was fishing his way down to FL and then where ever. What a life. Now my dream to be able to spent many weeks fishing Talquin.

See you thanksgiving. I am arriving on the 23rd. (early)

Chuck

Be careful on pulling the boat behing the camper. From my understanding I think each state is different about what is legal when it comes to that...Buddy of mine talked like you couldn't do it in Florida but that's all gossip.....
