Default Told ya it was hot.

Proof that it does get warm out here. This is the hottest temp I have ever experienced. Notice the heat index.

WOW! And I though it got hot here in Ga. I dont even see how your AC's will keep your houses cool in those temps. I wouldnt even THINK about doing any outside activities until fall of the year gets here.

I think that their cooling systems are a "BIT DIFFERENT". They use what is referred to as a "swamp cooler".
A unit on the roof top has a small stream of water that soaks some coconut matting and a large fan sucks the moist air into the house. The moist air cools off the interior of the house.
Does that sound correct Dusty?

Yessir, you are correct. They still use them a lot too. Four years ago, we had an assignment in Cottonwood (about 86 miles north of here) and that is what we had in the apartment. Worked suprisingly good to.....till the humidity went above 40%. After that, it was just hot, period. I can NOT imagine what them people back in the old western days. Don't even want to think about it.
