I forget to put the plug in almost every trip it seems. I finally notice water in the drain below my feet, say "OH S!@#", and put the plug in. Then it is 30 minutes of fishing listening to what sounds like some one peeing over the side of the boat before all the water gets bilged out.:D

    I have a routine too!

This may have already been posted but if so then here it is again. I could not find the pictures, they are great. Beautiful black, very expensive Bass boat, can't remember the make. Was a holiday of course, that is when the best bloopers happen at the ramp. 3 guys had been out, put the boat on the trailer, did not raise the motor or hook the wench. When they pulled out of the water and up the ramp, the motor being down pulled the boat completely off the trailer and made an awful sound when it hit the ramp.

I can tell you from experience that a 17' Bass Tracker Pro Crappie boat will float its trailor if you leave the straps on it.

One story goes that this guy buys a boat from a dealership and calls back the next week saying the boat has no power the dealer tells him to meet him on the lake the next day. The dude already has the boat in the water at the pier. He takes the mechanic out and sure enough no power. The mechanic tells him to put it back on the trailer and bring it to the shop. The buy responds " it is on the trailer right now."

I have heard several stories and variations of it. Do you really think someone could unhook a boat with trailer attached in the water without it going under.
I did see someone forget to detach the straps at the transom and when he backed into the water the trailer pulled the transom straight down into the water. This was a normal fiberglass bassboat. It would have filled up with water had he not immediatly pulled it out.
Not a legend. They proved it on Myth Busters! Pretty crazy!

My buddy and his fishing partner bought a new ,used boat.I put my boat in first and was just sitting out there watching as they tried to back down the ramp. His partner was driving the truck,OMG you should have seen that, lol. When he got the boat backed into the water it looked like the letter "V" sideways. My buddy was in the boat yelling and screaming at his fishing buddy,he must have had his window up.I hope.He never got out of the truck,I was laughing so hard, then my buddy started up the boat,I saw the smoke from his motor and was trying to back it off the, not in the water enough trailer, and pointed sideways boat, and it would'nt go,he was giving it more and more gas and nothing.lol.He stood up and was yelling and the guy finally got out of the truck, the winch strap was still attached to the boat, and he must have told him to take it off and the guy went back and straightened the boat up,and they got in the water.Well, needlass to say, they both know everything about boating now, after about a month,That is until we are out fishing and I bring the subject up,Everytime, lol.
