the Bobber

We was crappie fishin early one april on Lake rodhiss (nc). We were way back up in this creek, floatin minners under bobbers. I was short a rod for one reason or another that day and was borrowing my brothers. Well all was goin well, untill i cast my bait out there and went to put the rod into the driftmaster, and i missed it completly. the rod went straight down to the bottom. Dad was with us and he was the first to look around from the captains chair in the back of the boat and he said all he saw waas my white @$$ jumpin overboard after that rod. Well i went down about 1/2 a dozen times and had no luck. then my brother in his infinite wisdom said "hey werent u fishin that on a bobber?" I looked over and there was my bobber floatin right were i had casted it 10 minutes earlier ( still attached to the line of course.) So i swam over, and got the line and pulled in his rod, and got dressed and sat through a week of ragging like i had never experienced in my life.

Imagine the trouble if a fish had took off with your bobber (and rod) it would have been a high speed pursuit lol

i didnt have any clothes on so i was really aerodynamic. I woulda been able to swim fast enough ta cathc him ! :D

Great story, I grew up in a Polish Catholic family so I definately know what no mercy is like with the males in our family! Been there before!
