The cruelest trick ever...

My friend, used to be my boss, now my business partner pulled this on
me back when we both worked at the big factory -
It's Friday evening, hot as blazes, I'm deep in thought keying numbers
into the controller on a CNC lathe, and George eases up beside me and
starts talking - I've just volunteered to work Saturday - I'm listening with only half attention, but he starts and goes on for 5 minutes like so:
You know that sound - when you back that trailer down in the water
and it goes whooshhhhh - and all the air bubbles are escaping from the
carpet underneath the boat - He's got my attention now, I stop punching
buttons, with a dreamy look on my face - He goes on to tell about the
fog and the sun just starting to peek through, the birds singing, all that
jazz... I finally say "Uh Huh" He says " I'll be hearing all that in the morning-
and you won't" Coulda killed him right on the spot! I still owe him for that...

yeah, sometimes I wonder why I do the things I do - still married to the
same old woman too. Could probly re-friend easier/cheaper than I could
re-marry. Guess I'll keep 'em though. Ya'll should see us when the third
element is present - Sambo Hale. He is an awfull joker/cut up, but a
little older than us and easily embarassed in front of strangers...
Ought to see him when we are camped out at Sardis in October -
me'n George get hammered (Sambo don't drink) and embarass the crap
out of him. Like the time he was in his tent blowing up an air matress
with one of those electric pumps - we get to hollering at him to not puncture
her, but blow her up good and tight - I want seconds, etc, etc,
He wouldn't come out of the tent for a long time.
