Thanks for a great post. Enjoyed it.
Last Sunday I went to my local lake and when I was headed for the creek a lone goose decided to take flight. well he was doing pretty good flying next to the boat when all of a sudden his head dropped and he caught the water with several barrel rolls that followed. I had never seen such a show. I laughed and went on my merry way. well as I got towards the end of the creek (about a mile) I noticed my locator wasn't on and would not come on. then noticed I wasn't going very fast on trolling motor. tried firing up big motor nope dead. I forgot to unhook my cranking battery from my trolling motor and my charger must not of worked Saturday night. oh and no cell service I mentioned to a guy on bank when I headed up. I don't know how many have tried to paddle a 16' fiberglass boat with big motor down but its not the easiest. I laid my phone on deck and finally got to cell range fired off text to wife to meet me under bridge with jumper cables. I paddled down creek and met up with an older guy with a pond hopper and he jumped my big motor. got back to ramp and loaded up. when cranking boat up I slipped and fell off trailer my left leg went between rails and I started to fall backwards. I put on quiet a show but didn't fall all the way down glad because I would of broken my femur or knee. I guess the moral of the story is don't laugh at nature she will get ya. oh and Not 1 bite.
I guess it will hit me now that I laughed so hard at your story. Thanks.
