Nope. I get the same look here as they pre fish a tournament and catch nothing and then I come behind them chasing crappie and catch a big bass. Seem to have no sense of humor.
A number of years ago I was spring bluegill fishing with a buddy on a 250 acre local lake. We were anchored on the edge of of a shallow flat and were catching a decent number and a good variety of fish, him on spinning gear and me on a 20' cane pole. I took note of a couple of bass fishermen coming down the shoreline and I have to tell you these guys were serious about their bass fishing! They had on the shirts with patches from different sponsors and were in a boat that was worth more than my house. They had rods rigged with gizmos and gadgets of every shape and size. These guys were beating the water to a froth as they tried, unsuccessfully, to trigger a bite. As they trolled out around us I greeted them with a "good morning, doing any good". They said they hadn't been out long and so far hadn't had a hit. About that time my bobber went under and when I set the hook I knew I had something other than a bluegill. I fought the fish around the boat a couple of times and was finally able to land it. As I held up a fat 4 lb largemouth for them to see I asked "have you tried red worms". They never did answer me. Just continued down the shore. Was it something I said???

Redge LIKED above post
Why is the bass crowd a plastics only crowd? They NEVER use live bait.
