    Default Drag screamer (dog)

Folks I know we all like to hear the sound of the drag slipping right! Here's a true story. I have a smaller shop that I keep my reels in. One day after fishing I was taking them out of the boat to put in the shop to lock them up. I always reel the jig up tight to the end of the rod. One of my weenie dogs walks into the shop,I say get outta here and tapped him on the butt as he was heading out. Low and behold the angle of the jig musta been perfect and stuck him,(not deep, the barb did not penetrate). He thought a wasp or something had hit him,he took off and boy was he peeling drag. I took off behind him with the rod in my hand. He only ran Mabey 30feet,I took the jig out and felt really bad , but still get a laugh when I think about it. A 12 lb weenie dog will smoke the drag on a crappie reel with 4 lb test !!
    HEY,,WATCH THAT YELLOW ROD
