I totally understand!!! A guy on a bass site where I frequent was lamenting in the chat room of the loss of his last Dance's eel, seems he could find all the really big ones but not the small ones he wanted.

So with my big mouth "Dude I have about 25 of them still in the package that I got in an ebay auction 2 years ago" and a bunch in my tackle box. This guy was offering the moon for just two of them!! I told him PM me your address and you have two brand new on the way.

I truly believe to this day that he thought I was full of **** he disappeared off the chat room and even though I PM'd him he never answered me back.

I've since sold them off as I hardly ever used them but they were in the lot of lures I bought. The only two lures in the lot I wanted??? Two original in the box Hawiaan Wigglers with gold blades!!!!! They are now locked away.

I can offer one possible chance to those of you who are looking for discontinued baits, and if it's possible for the guys to make them check out the guys on www.tackleunderground.com

and yeah you'll have to register to post but you can ask if they could make them, although they might not be cheap. The baits they make from scratch are simply amazing!!!!!!!

I sold some old crankbaits on Ebay a couple of years ago.....guess I should have kept them...but I knew I would never fish with them. I ran across several of the Lisk lures "Lil Skunks" in a box at the house the other day, they have never been out of the pack. They were made in Greensboro, NC I think. Not sure if they are worth anything or not.

    Default It's Alive!

I was sniffing around a couple days ago, and lo and behold, IT'S BACK after 21 years. Thanks to those who applied pressure in all the right places to make this happen for me. The lure can be viewed at F77 Teeny Wee Crawfish

. It's the "Red Crawfish" color there, although to me it will always be THE RED DEVIL. I placed an order for six through my local tackle distributor (thanks to Fin & Feather Tackle). NOW I have to find those other lures that elude me. I'll post descriptions of them before too long and I'll let you guys help me get ahold of those.

Many men go fishing all of their lives without knowing that it is not fish they are after.

To my angst, one of the outdoor mags ran a story on the best baits of yesteryear...but my favs were not even mentioned!! I REALLY must be old. lol

To this day I fish with a chrome (smaller version) Devil's Horse and a 3/4 oz black jointed Jitterbug in the late afternoon on those Spring and Summer days. There's no better way to end a fishing trip, I guarantee it.

Because the baits are no longer used by 'modern sophisicated fishermens' the bass don't know what it IS and that is why they just TROUNCE it from time to time. Nothin' else like it.

You can still get that particular Jitterbug at BPS but the little version of the Devil's Horse, well, they're just not around anymore, to speak of.

Dunno if it's discontinued, but I sure haven't seen one in forever:
Used to "borrow" my pops tackle box when I was young to bass fish. My fav was a soft plastic lizard. Nothing unusual. Except it was gloss black in color AND had 4 white spots running down it's back.
Might still be around b/c I don't bass fish anymore, but that was easily my go to lure any time and place.

I've got a box of fishing keepsakes and I'm missing that specific lizard....

Your right, wooden but not balsa on the bomber. I remember those spotted lizards too.
