Quick thinking kid

My friend Karl and I took his nephew fishing. Bobby was only three but learned fast. Karl put Bobby's line in the lake and explained to Bobby to wait till he gets a bite before reeling in. Bobby started asking "Uncle Karl, do I got a bite" every 30 seconds. Karl had finally had enough and said "Bobby if you ask me if you have a bite one more time I'm going to throw you in the lake". There was silence for about a minute when Bobby piped up with "Fred, do I got a bite". Karl and I both tried to keep from laughing but couldn't.

Sounds like you didn't take him fishing. You took him along, fishing. When I take a youngun fishing, I don't fish and work with the youngster to make sure they catch fish ,and have an enjoyable time. You never regrett the time you spend with a kid teaching them the ethical way to enjoy the outdoors. Teach them right, and you end up with a fishing partner for life.
