Default you know you've had a bad day when.......

you know you've had a bad day when.... i decided to take my boat out to a lake where it was electric motor only, my lower unit is in the shop so i thought what the heck i'll go trolling for some crappie, so i'm by myself and so i go to launch the boat and i tie a 50ft rope to the trailor to keep the boat from going out to far before i can grab it and tie it off so i could park the truck, i back in and look in the rearview mirror and the boat is going further than 50 feet i jump out and see that my knot has come untied and the boat is floating out in the water i have to go in knee deep to grab the rope and pull the boat back to the shore, something then told me to put the boat back on the trailor but my need to catch crappie was stronger than the voice that told me to put the boat back so i go on out with my trolling motor and i start to set my poles up and i notice that the back of the boat is filling up with water i then remembered that i have forgot to put the plug in so i dip back in the water to put the plug in turn on the pump and start pumping out the water then my trolling motor just stops i have a full charge on the battery so it wasnt that i then smell rubber burning i look at the plug for the trolling motor and smoke is coming out of it so i jerk the plug out and the wind picks up blowing me to the middle of the lake before i thing to put down the anchors so that voice is saying "i told you so" i had to call my friend to come get me . he comes and needless to say he was giving me a hard time about this boat that i have had trouble with from day one so he gets me in and i go home. needless to say i didn't get to enjoy not one fish but i thing things are going to get better because i'm not taking that boat out again i'm going with the buddy that came out and pulled me in this weekend.

Sorry things didn't work out. Maybe next time...never give up.
