    Default empty boat

While headed to my spot wednesday i noticed a boat next the grass that appeared to be empty, 'thought not good' go over and see a knee sticking up 'thought really not good' so i "asked you all right?" and got back an answer "yes got an electrical problem", whispered "thank you Lord" and helped get the broken main fuse holder back together and both of us went fishing. Gives me a knot in my stomach to think of a boat with no head sticking up.--shu

I had a similar experience earlier this summer. I saw a fishing boat in a cove that looked like nobody was in the boat. I got up closer and yelled out. A guy sat up. And then a woman sat up and it to me looked like she was straightening up her top. I asked how they was bitin' and then went on my way.

I came out of a creek full of timber one night after fishing solo and ran across a boat afloat with nobody in it. It was floating off in the trees about 40 yards from the lane the boats run this creek in. I cut my motor for a minute to see if I could hear anything and didnt so I left. I ran slow with my spotlight gleaming as I did NOT want to run across ANYTHING FLOATING in the water! Never heard anything so I assume someone's boat came untied from wherever they had it although there aint supposed to be any boats left overnight on this lake. Kinda had me a little spooked that night.

Smile Do Not Disturb - Older Guy Taking His Daily Nap

I had worked my way to the backend of a slough .. got hungry ... ate my can of Potted Meat & Crackers & stretched out in the bottom of the boat for a nap ... just got settled in good when I hear a motor ideling my way .. just stayed stretched out when something bumped the boat .. looked up and there was a Wildlife Officer .... Asked me if I was OK .. course I said I was even thou he had interrupted my Nap ... he apologized but said they get a little on edge when they see an "empty boat" could be many things wrong.

Never had thought about that until then ... Guess I better get me a sign made "Do Not Disturb - Older Guy Taking His Daily Nap"

my bud and i were runnin trot lines in a john boat years ago and we were drinkin a little beer (younger days), well about midnight his wife comes out in their ski boat and we get in and go in with her leaving the john tied up. next morning she takes us back out to get our boat and they are dragging for us. needless to say we really got our butts a good talking to. pretty stupid on our part.

I take nap's in my big Jon boat often. I've been awakend by a boat alongside a couple times.
Once I was dreaming about yelling over the Swiss Alps, when a BUMP on my boat woke me up.
It was a couple who said they had yelled at my boat a couple times.
I anchor. I guess we need a Flag showing a guy asleep on the deck to hoist when we nap.
I just wish I could be better at fishing. Or maybe luckier!:D
