Default Fall Crappie

My brother and I fished a few canals off Lake St. Clair on Monday and Tuesday and managed to get a few. A tube under a light bobber was the ticket.

Nice! The days for us Michigan boaters are numbered. Better get out while we can. How deep were you fishing?

We were fishing around docks in about 6 feet of water. Running our tubes about half way down. Water was stained, about 18" visibility. 50 degree water temp.

Yeah I figure they oughta be in shallower right now lookin' to fatten up a bit, then as the water temps drop more they probably will move back out some. Whata ya think?

Yeah I know what you mean John. I've been working at the same stuff. If it's not the constant battle to get the leaves off the yard, it's stackin' fire wood, prepping the tractor/snowblower, or cleaning out the gutters. Man, I need to take a nap just thinking about it.
