Default Michigan C.com fall outing results (pics)

Well if it weren't for the lousy weather....

I believe everyone had a great time (or they were lying). You couldn't have asked for a better weekend weather wise, although all the sun might have dampened the bite some.

Steelguy and his son-in-law Terry made it on the water first Friday afternoon to do a little prefishing and it may have helped too, right guys? Carol and I made it out for about an hour, and so did Skillett007. The bite was light and quick.

Ready2Fish showed up early Saturday morn and we chatted a bit before hitting the water for some morning fishing. Again, the bite was light and you really needed to watch the poles close.

We all pulled up and made it back to the campground for a fish fry at noon. Everybody contributed to make a great meal and we had time to digest and plan the afternoon strategy for the panfish tournament.

L to R: Ready2fish (Jim), Steelguys son-in-law Terry, Steelguy (John), Skillett007 (Kevin).

Diggin' in.

From this point on I'm not sure what happened to the camera crew, but they seemed to fall off task...the results, without pics, of the tournament were:

Team Steelguy took first and a Cabelas gift cert. w/ 5 lbs. 13 oz. Team Steelguy also took the prize for the largest crappie w/ twins at 13 oz. each and another Cabelas certificate.

Other catch totals were 5 lbs. 2 oz., and 4 lbs. 4 oz.

A big thanks to all that made it out. To those of you who didn't make it this time around, keep an eye on the forum for the next outing sometime this spring. It's a blast and you get to rub shoulders with some REALLY nice folks too.

want to put out a big thanks to you and carol for all the work you did getting this together, food was FANTASTIC, weather was great, was nice to meet kevin and his wife, and jim, great bunch of people, oh, and your daughter too!! she sure seemed to enjoy the campfire and fishingIt was obvious you put a lot of time into this ,well planned and very fun for everyone, my son-in-law terry had a blast, he said that was the most fish he has ever caught
I think we just got a bit lucky with the fish, we found one small weed patch in 12ft of water that was maybe about 20yards long, but the fish sure liked it..only way I could get them to bite was with the oldfashioned slip bobber rig and VERY lively minnows, if the minnow did not swim good.... no bite...
all in all , a great time, just would have been nicer if the fish had been biting a bit better for everyone, thanks for all you did

This was one great time, I would have to say Don his wife Carol and daughter did an excellent job with all the food and the planing of getting this first crappie .com get together.

I had as always a good time fishing and meeting some of the members here, just to let the ones know that couldn't make it don't let the next one slip away you missed out big time.

Rachel and I got out for a couple of hours. I had a really nice one on just north of the island by the boat launch but it spit the hook.

Oh, by the way, you don't hold any records with the anchor thing...I drug mine around the lake Sunday. Sure does make a diff on how the boat runs. LOL.

Default Missed the outing

Greetings all,
After looking at these pics I'm sure sorry I missed the event. My youngest son's wedding day took precedence. I'm already planning to make next years. Grace be with you all.
