Default What a difference a year (almost) makes

What's up with this weather?

The above link is a report from 11/7/08.

Here it is the 2nd week in November and I'm fishin in short sleeves! The weather this week has taken the water temperature from 47 up to 56 degrees. It was over 70 degrees out there today.
The bigs boys(girls) were harder to come by today.
I did get a bonus striped one.

Well I went out solo this morning in 30 degree temps with 15 to 20 mph winds. (In my 14' tinny) I was not in short sleeves, but in my Artic Armor. I was back in the garage at 9am.

Here's what I got...3 of the crappie were 13" and the stripers were 20" and 24".

Good to see you back it MDcrappie I was thinking we'd get a report from ya soon. We crappie fished last sun. in a spot we did real well last winter we caught alot of crappie but only 2 good ones. The water temp. was 61 needs to be cooler in that spot I think . Last year we did best there when the water was in the 40's and upper 30's. We have been doing ok in some of our ponds and sand pits though. Spring was real good. We got a few more salty trips then we''ll be trying for crappie fulltime.
