    Default Hummingbird 798 side image

I bought this unit back in November and just wanted everyone to know that I haven't had any problems with it at all.
I'm still learning it. One thing I want to address is the GPS. I've heard several people complain that their unit is slow in regard to the GPS tracking catching up with the boat. I have not experienced this. I don't seem to have any problem getting back to a marked spot.

Can someone tell me if I can use a non-sideimage transducer up on the trolling motor with this unit?
    Thanks

    Thanks................... Here's the question.

Do I have to use a side image transducer at the trolling motor?
I certainly don't need the sideimage up front cause I can't go fast enough to use it.
    Don't need it there anyway.
Will just the basic dualbeam transducer work on the 798?

from what I've read, I believe the 798 supports the dual or quadbeam transducer also.
