    Default Humminbird smartcast

Is the humminbird smartcast fish finder any good. We have a regular fishfinder on the boat, but would this or these work good for dock fishing?? THANKS

I hafta disagree,,, I use mine quite often,, at Bluff Landing there is not a topo map available fer the navigation channel that I have found,,, I fish a heavy stump & standing timber area thats not advisable ta take a boat into & if I cant get my boat into it my smartcast will get there... It werks great fer my needs mainly depth,,if the fish re there I'll find'm.. IMHO,, jus be sure ya put it on a short stiff rod...

I love the Smartcast. Have had 2 of them over the past years. Great for checking out a brushpile or when your bank fishing. I have a 20" pontoon & can throw the Smartcast past the brush & reel it back over to see if any fish are holding without spooking them with the pontoon. I would recommend the larger unit. The one that fits on your rod is so small you really can't see much.

Got on on my r/c pontoon. Works fine up to 60 feet. I like playing with it.
