Anyone use Navionics DVD
Just wondering if anyone has the Navionics DVD for computer use. If so do the maps really have the detail that the web site says? The price is not expensive and maybe it would show more detail than my Garmin or Hummingbird have.
Thanks for your input

I have the Navionics HotMaps Explorer with a free HD Map on my home PC and lap top combined with Navionics Maps on my HB 787 & 797 and I think it works great. I found places that I never new existed. It's a real pleasure to be able to plot spots at home on your PC. You can spend more time fishing and less time for looking.

Thanks Charlie K,
That's the kind of response I was looking for before buying the DVD. I also would like to have more detail to pick the places I want to fish before going to the lake and it would be nice to look over the area sitting in the den.
Thanks for your input.

Will the maps give the coordinates similar to using the map in your units. I am wanting to use my handheld gps to locate my waypoints on the map. I find interesting to see the cover I have placed compared to the surrounding contour and which ones produce and the ones that dont. I would like to plan where to place cover without having to sit in my boat.

Bought Hot Maps DVD
Well I spent 20 dollars on the DVD and did load my spots on the computer so I can see them. That is pretty cool. but with said the creeks I fish are not in High Definition and don't have contour lines like my paper maps.
Also don't think you'll load the software on a laptop and PC because they only allow one download per DVD. They say you have to spend another 20 bucks to download to another computer.
Maybe other lakes have a better High Definition. Wish you luck!
