Default talked to a HB engineer today

While computer was still broke down this AM, I called Hb & spoke with a engineer asking about -SLOW GPS-- Yes everybody is aware of the problems some folks are having & it has been passed on up the ladder. As it is now out of his/departments hands when or what, & things take time. Priorty lists have to be followed.................So is the glass 1/2 full or 1/2 empty???,-- come to think about it I didn't see a bottom in it.
I don't suffer from insanity; I enjoy every minute of it.

    Question

Has anyone just asked for their money back? If I was having as much problems as some of seem to have, I believe that's what I would try.

    No refunds.

We can use the unit as is. "As is" ain't what we bought. SI is a useful tool. We can't get our money back, but we can complain. It is our only negotiating tool at this point. It will be a fine unit if and when everything is working properly.

I guess we will haveta start calling. The SI Yahoo chief postette is deleting posts about the Slow Response now. Says he don't work for Humminbird, but I bet he gets gratuities..... He must be a lobbyist.

I see. I can understand your frustration. It's pitiful when a

company won't stand behind their product.

One of those was on my wish list....along with a Terrova trolling motor...but after reading the problems...I will take a wait and see approach. Good luck to everyone on resolving this problem.

Y'all must remember: this society put men on the MOON...problem is, I don't know that Humminbird had anything to do with it. "Houston, we have a problem."

I only wish their office was in Houston as I will be bout 50 miles north of there next week & would gladly take the time to go say a few words.

They are aware of the problem. Quit your xxxxx and enjoy what plus's the SI can do for you. I paid $2K just like some of you for my 997 and knew what I was buying when I did. If you didn't, that's your fault! At least they WILL fix the problem!
Some people you just can't please.

I knew they knew there was a problem, but I hadn't seen or heard anything from them that said that they were committed to fixing the problem!

Great!!! Where'd you get that info? Cause when you read about the SI units on their website they don't even mention anything about any a problem.
