Yep, that is right. I turned the thing on this morning and the best it will do is est. error of about 100 foot. I was in my yard and the ole etrex would get me within about 9 foot on a bad day. Do I have something turned off, it never hooks up with the waas sat. I am going to church in a little while, I hope I find an answer on here when I get back. If not i guess I will have to make a 100 mile trip this afternoon to return unit. Sooooooo help!

Never heard that complaint before on an H2O. I do suspect that on the first power up it takes longer to establish the signal than any other power up. Check the manual and see if there is some calibration step that has to be made. Other than that, take it a mile or so away and see if you get the same results from a different location.
Let us know how it comes out.

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.
Traded with the dealer for an etrex. I made the trip Sunday to pick up another H20. The second one did the same thing in the parking lot before I left the store. The epe error margin would never get under 44 foot. I am using the thing to find brush piles I have buried. That is not acceptable, They had a etrex just like the one that I now have that I destroyed with bursted batteries (my fault) I bought that one and in the same spot the H20 was tested the etrex in a matter of 3-4 minutes was down to less than 9 foot. I don't understand the problem, the sales persons that worked with me knew much less than I did about either one. I did like the size of the H units screen and the ease of usage from screen to screen but, I did need far greater accuracy than iI could obtain with the book and instruction manual. I guess I am stupid or something like that.

And, I just googled te h20 unit. It seems that the numbers I was coming up with are about normal for other users. That doesn't seem acceptable to me, the best I found was about 22 foot posted by a reader. Many times I have ran to with in mere inches of where they were suppose to be with the Legend. Oh well,,,,,,,,,.............

Hmmm... like I said, I've never heard of an accuracty complaint with an H2O unit. Maybe the WAAS wasn't enabled? Never used one, but there's a lot of 'em out there. I like the Garmins myself. Just seems odd that you had that problem, but glad you got it worked out.
Maybe an H2O user here will speak up with their experience.

That seems unusual for the H2O. Several of the guys I fish with use them and they go directly to their condo's. But if I wasn't comfortable with any unit I would do the same thing you did.
Mine works great. Check and see if you can cancel navigation. The only time mine did what you are talking about was after I navigated to a new spot. Hope this helps your problem.
I tested it out in the parking lot at Gander Mtn. Paducah Ky. Marked spots and walked away only to return to mark 35 foot away. I had tried the same thing at home and had a similar outcome. 2 units didn't work on Sunday and my old Hummin bird gps loaded up waas sats. even in the garage. Like I said, etrex did a much better job in side by side comparison on satilite reception. I really wanted the h20 or something with a larger screen but economics said Legend in the price range this poor boy afford.
