Thread: Minn Kota Autopilot V2 wiring for foot control.

No body wanna give me this info, so I traced the circuit out myself. You can use this drawing to build yourself a hand held motor control for the V2 if you want one.

I am adding an external motor on /off switch so I can steer with the left foot and turn motor on/off with the right. I don't like the center button on this foot control. Make my own.

Took me a while to figure the circuit out. Free to all.!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Minn Kota, you can stuff it for your corporation.

While I am ranting, Humminbird uses the Ublox GPS chipset. Seee, I told you I would get the answer HB. The industry standard is the SIrf Star 3. That is what most 10m gps use. Neither are used in sub meter, or sub foot units.



I don't believe I am on the manufacturers favorite child list.

That is the same chipset used by one of the golf range finder companies. Is this the existing GPS chipset or the new higher accuracy chipset?

It is a new set. It has 50 receiver channels. It should hammer down any accuracy issue (depending on HB implementation).

My golf range finder uses the simpler chipset (fewer channels). The largest error we have found between it and a laser rangefinder is 3 yards. I have to guess the location of the pin and make adjustments when the pin is not on the center of the green. Sometimes my guess is a little off.
