maybe we should pull our boats down to eufaula, al and park to block all the entrances etc. until we can get the help we need, i got a 1197 on the front and a 967 or 976 whatever the 3d graph is, 4700 bucks worth of electronics and im still in the dark on alot of the stuff it offers, went and bought a platinum card etc after seeing a pic here of another guy running a creek channel in 3d it looked great, but i cant get anything like that on either one of my units, it also says im on one of the 3d lakes it offers but just cant get it to come up. main reason i wanted this was for the creek channels on the flats, hoping the side image etc gets easier with seat time playing with it...

Cane Says HB probably think I am some crazed old man.
Me thinks HB hears U loud & clear- Lets face it they HB have a lot of fishing pros using their side finders & those guys gotta be singing this same message very loud. Either they don't have answer yet?(I can't believe that) or its in their 2009 bag of tricks. They probably have a lot of respect for the Cane folks but will never let on.....cause U are too smart for them to handle

Cane Pole, If you drive up here to Truman Lake there's a HB sponsored pro that will take you out on the lake for 50.00 an hour and do HB SI only instruction. For that price it might be worth the drive, and there's some good fishing up here. I'd be happy to take you out also, fishing only though as I probably know less about SI then most who own them.

Seems like a good guy. Formed the Yahoo SI board.

I don't think he could fix the gps problem.

I have no problem with the si part. Cant follow a track for crap with the HB gps. If I can't, he can't.

I have heard of this fellow.

You're right Cane Pole, I guess there are not as many people as we thought who would like to learn, fish and make new friends. It's a shame, but it's like the old saying - YOU CAN LEAD A HORSE TO WATER, BUT YOU CAN'T MAKE HIM DRINK. Or could it be, I just like to gripe. It seems like when I put together a new toy, I didn't read the dirrections, but B-*tched will doing it. Maybe next spring, there might be a larger response. I am still learning to use my 997 and it would help me tremendously to have a day or two class learning and using the unit from someone who has a bigger knowlege on how to use it.

Oh well. Back to fishing. I have crappie trips at Weiss, KY, Talquin, and local lakes around Brooksville FL that I want to fish. I am booked up to two weeks in April.

Keep you lines wet and catch a bunch.

I was considering the major investment of a 797 or even a 997 for me new rig but this has just about cooled my jets.

If you can "see" all that side imaging stuff, it does me no good if I can't go to and pinpoint it when I want to. Isn't that the whole point of dropping all that cash???

Now, where else can I put that two grand where it will make a difference? hmmmm.
