Wiring Problem
I have a Minnkota Powerdrive motor 55 lbs thrust with the copilot and autopilot. I have it connected with a plug wired in. The receptacle is wired in the front of the boat and I have the plug wired to the trolling motor. The motor does cuts off whenever I turn it up and run it at high speed. It is wired 12 volts. Any Ideas??

Your breaker is tripping and auto-resetting. Check your manual for the required breaker for your motor, then compare that to what's mounted in your positive battery cable. They do fail by tripping too easily, so if it is the right value, try a new one.

My Dad has a co pilot and it doesn't work. He doesn't have the manual so I am wondering, how to reset it to get it working again. We tried pushing the reset button on the copilot while pushing the prop button on the remote but nothing happened. Is there a sequence or how long do we hold the reset button and the prop button down. Thanks for any help.

First of all, welcome to Crappie.com. You should have started a new thread to hopefully get more responses. A few things to try: When you first plug the TM in you should hear a fast series of beeps. Do you get these? If not you are not getting power to the receiver or it is bad. If you get the beeps. change the battery in the hand control. If it still doesn't work, the receiver may have lost its memory. On the side of the receiver is a recessed button (learn button). Press and hold this button in and while holding it in, press any button on the remote. You should hear 4 beeps confirming that the receiver has learned the remotes ID.
Hope that helps.
BTW, the first one of these I got was defective. The plug was not making good contact with the TM and I had to keep twisting it for it to work. A replacement unit fixed the problem.
