Thread: Lowrance 522C owners

Im stepping up into a little bit bigger jon boat (15 to a 16) and Im going upgrade electronics. Im leaning toward a 522C on the front deck but I notice that bass pro has it listed with either and internal or external antenna. I'd like to go with an internal....since it eliminates one more thing to mount (antenna). Does anyone own one with an internal antenna and if so are you satisfied with it? As far as the back deck goes......im drooling over side imaging from Humminbird but am trying to kick myself in the butt to part ways with that much money.

The 522C has an internal GPS antenna and the 520C Has the external one. If you get the 520C you have to run the network cabling, I'm not sure on the 522C since it has an internal antenna

Lowrance swaped out a 334c for a 522c for me. I haven't had a problem with the 522c. It works alot betterthan the 334c ever did. Make sure its mounted with a clear view of the sky.
