Thread: E-mailed Lowrance

I am curious about the differences between Map Create 6.3 and 7.0 and Fishing Hot Spots Elite and the new Pro chip. So I E-mailed Lowrance and asked. I also told them I would post their answer here, so maybe we'll learn something when they reply.

Let me know what you find out as I have 6.3. It may take a while to get a response but they should get you an answer.

Kindda looks like the same support I got from them. Wish things were different

I'm sure they have thousands of emails requesting support or information. It took a few weeks to get an initial response to a support request I made concerning my 27C and Map Create maps. Once I got the first reply, they were very responsive. We never did figure out why my unit would only read some of the data from the Map Create maps and not all of it. After putting the card in and out of the unit several hundred times troubleshooting, it started working. The problem was either dirty contacts or a weak battery. All of the quirks this unit had disappeared when I changed the boat's starting battery.

My point is that they worked with me on a daily basis once they got to me in the que until my problem was resolved.
