Saturday morning I lost two speeds on my Motorguide Pro Series 70# trolling motor. Speeds 1 and 2 quite working, but 3-5 still work. Although, there is no difference between 3 and 4.
Could this be the switch under the foot pad. A rheostat switch or something?
Thanks for any help. I've found the switch online, but it doesn't say if it's universal to all the trolling motors or if there are different switches for different models.

Hooking up every chance I get!
i have same problem except now all my speeds except for 5 quit--friend told me that someone on crappie.com posted that it was a plastic piece under the contacts that wears out and the contacts fall down but have not found the thread yet-let ya know if i do
Every one I've ever had did that, I finally fixed it by switching brands![]()
Seriously though, one time I took that chip out and swapped it, and it worked until I sold it. The next time it happened on a different boat/motor I tried the same thing and finally had to take it somewhere to get it fixed and I can't remember what they did.
It's all over but the fryin'......
