Thread: Struffling to mount my new MK PD on Tracker tx17

Thanks you everyone for posting responses even if I goofed up the title (Struffling....)

I have decided now that I will use some sort of mounting plate, I am heavily considering the Minn Kota quick release bracket, the newer model that has the quick release handle. My question is for anyone who has this bracket - is it possible to slide the motor bracket forward enought to get the clearance to launch and then tighten the handle secure enough to use? I am not sure if the two plates have to perfectly aligned top and bottom with each other in order to get it securely tight?
