Here's a diagram on how to connect 2 batteries for 12 volt OR for 24 volt

Thanks Guys, wiring the batteries in parallel makes a lot of sense and will make things a lot easier out on the water. Thanks again, I'm gonna fix my batteries up this weekend.

Just thought about something, can I leave the batteries connected in parallel and still charge them or will I have to disconnect them?

PARALLEL- leave them connected in parallel and hook up your charger+ to battery+ and charger- to battery- Just like you would have your TM connected.
