Default HB high accuracy receiver discontinued?

Heard today that the high accuracy biscuit is being discontinued. Seems it did not meet the less than a meter accuracy and is being discontinued.

Also, if this is true, then the 16 channel biscuit is just as accurate as the 50 channel (3 meter) but is just slower at locking on.

Biscuit is an old "aero" term.

Apparently they stopped making them a month or longer ago, as 2 weeks ago nobody had any left in stock. I bought one 3 weeks ago dealer said he only had 2 left after me. Got it for $149. on close out,HB list price earlier this year was $249. $149 is also list price of regular 50 channel puck. Of course I wonder if time will come of more updates & HB will tell me they don't work with Hi-accuracy puck cause its no longer a current item????? Oh well if it happens, it happens, too old to worry about it. If I wake up in morning it will always be a good day.)

Everyday above ground is a good day Jax. I only fear the devil and the government. I have come to the conclusion that they are identical twins.

Agree with you Tom, its hard to tell where one stops and the other starts. Also it sounds to me that HB owes some people a refund or credit.

Reminds me of the Edsel days. Ford didn't take back the Edsel nor did they tell the public it was a flop. The name stuck.

They all cover their butts and empty the shelves before the truth comes out. We are all victims of technology fantasies.

Cane Pole, where did you hear that it did not meet the sub meter accuracy?
All of our testing has confirmed the accuracy of the GRHA GPS Receiver.

The reasons for dropping it from the line-up are basically due to its low sales volume and the better than expected performance of the GR50 GPS Receiver. I guess not many think that they needed to spend the extra money on a sun meter accurate GPS Receiver when they got one with their unit that is accurate to within 2.5 meters.
