OK I see restoring Factory Defaults before update but why after the update as they should be already updated from the before update restore--Am I missing something?

It will reset any of the setting that may need to be reset after loading software.

Just got back from the lake and I see the update waiting on me.. Talk about a good day. I'm updated and ready to go.. Too bad the update didn't release yesterday but this just gives me an excuse to go fishing again this week... Come on Wednesday!!!

Good stuff and THANKS! I guess we 997 users have to wait until January though. Oh well, it isn't that far away!

When I did the last update I failed to restore the factory defaults prior to updating, what if anything bad can happen and how does one "fix" anything that may have gotten out of whack?
