I agree if Humminbird is still selling the unit. Then they should have the update for that unit as well. I also noticed the price hasn't dropped very much either. Usually when electronics are no longer the latest and greatest, they start dropping in price. I understand that in the development world this is older equipment. But, as a consumer, I don't know if I will continue to invest my $$$$ with a company that will not go back and support/update a product that clearly had issues when it was released to the market. Actually part of its initial appeal was the fact it could be updated in the future.

I hope Humminbird goes back and finds a way to update the Matrix units. Even if, due to processor capability, some other functions of the unit had to be sacrificed.

Just like Cane Pole says, it always boils down to money, and this may be the issue that breaks the flow of money from my wallet to Humminbird. Humminbird has a good product and the best customer service. I hope they don't let new product development and such, take the place of going back and correcting the problem of the slow refresh rate in these units for the people that have already invested in their technology.
