In the mood for a new trolling motor and from what I've heard and read, the Terrova is the way to go. My plan was to purchase a Terrova 55 w/48" shaft and built-in sonar. Then purchase the i-pilot separately. Seeing as I have a lot of points saved up @ Cabela's, I naturally called them first. Their website indicates that this model is sold out, so I gave them a call to ask when they expect a new shipment. I was told that the model has been discontinued. Immediately the red flags started flying and I began to question my decision to buy this product. Has anyone heard of problems associated with this product? Any assistance is appreciated. Thanks!
havent heard anything but I would go with one of the bigger motors anyway, I have a 80 on a bass tracker and sometimes I wish I had a 110, it's eaier to get arround with more than you need, instead of trying to get arround with not enough motor, I would call or email minnkota and ask them directly. good luck
www.slabbuster.com check them out I use them and love them
Thanks Beagle Man... going with the bigger motor sounds like good advise.
Any one tried putting out markers and seing how good it retracks to the markers?
Just got my i-polit and am testing......

This past week I set a trail in the daylight and tracked it after dark....AROUND SOME LARGE ROCKS. No bumps! I AM SOLD!!
Only problem I have found is that if you take out the battery on the remote and put it back "Not quite perfect" some of the functions NO WORK!
Otherwise I LOVE IT!!

yup! Make sure the battery is seated all the way down!!
i,m thinking pretty strong about throwing an 80 lb thrust i pilot on my crappiegirl1 boat--waiting to hear how it does--
Ok, I bought the PowerDrive V2 with IPilot which works great most of the time. Has anyone figured out how to incorporate a foot control to work in conjunction with the remote control? Sure would be nice when try to jig two poles. If someone would convert a remote control to a foot control I would buy it.
