Default GPS Source for Helix Mega 10" & 12" Network

I am running a 10" Helix SI on console and a Helix 12" DI on bow with a GPS/Heading Sensor between 12" and trolling motor. My external GPS is closest to TM. Should I set external as default GPS Source for my network ?

HELIX 12 on the bow ...:
    *Networking tab ...
    *GPS ...
*Choose "External" - to allow heading sensor to help with bow fishing slow speed boat orientation on the bow unit mapping ...

HELIX 10 on the console ...
    *Networking tab ...
    *GPS ...
*Choose "HELIX 10" - because the internal GPS antenna of the HELIX 10 is closer to the transom mounted xducer than the external GPS antenna is ...
    ----

The optimum scenario would be an additional external GPS antenna (AS GRP or AS GPS HS) mounted over the transom mounted xducer to be selected by the console unit networking GPS choice ... (AS GPS HS antenna not really necessary in this location because big motor idle speed is never below 0.6mph to lose COG) ...
