The boat's attitude in the water will be different than sitting on the trailer ...
Less than 5° off of horizontal should not be a problem ...

Working on mounding a transducer to a removeAble pole for when it's not needed.
Is this minor downward pitch a problem. It can't even be 1/8th.
If I pitch it in opposite direction it's way worse on the up end. Teeth aren't exact (poor design if ya ask me...but whom I'm is)
Thx for any suggestions

The pole is adjustable, angle wise, so I guess I can make corrections as I go. But yeah you're right, didn't think of it that way. Especially since the bow is gon drop when I sit up there.
Thx for making me think.

Also look at your mount where bolt goes through. See if you don't have a removable washer with teeth on each side. If you do it is designed so you can rotate those to make fine adjustments to the ducer. On bird units those will have different letters for you to align so you can get both sides the same.

Thx everyone. I'm familiar with the marks and washers from older units just CldNt get this one JUST RIGHT. But after the install I think I'll be happy. A lil overboard for my lil tin, but imma try it.
I'll catch fish regardless. If'n it's not helpful somebody will get a new unit cheap.
