Default The Case of the Buzzing Terrova iPilot

Out on the lake yesterday and my remote buttons stopped working. Icons showing on screen. Swapped battery and same thing. When using foot control, turning propeller would show on remote. Started using foot control. Next time I put TM down, noticed buzzing noise from head. When trying to use remote again, all icons light up and then go off.

Pulled head and found memory capacitor broken off of GPS board. Ordered one out of Florida. Hope this fixes problem. Anyone else experience this? Anyone upgraded to Link and have a head for sale? Might need one.

Vibration usually causes this type problem. It is usually a poor solder (not a cold joint). I have re-soldered electrolytic capacitors in telephone ringer circuits and
UPS circuits. At one time in history this was human error. Now we blame it on the "assembly robots".
