Simrad
Anyone have a Simrad unit? Went to purchase a new Hbird unit and ran into a Simrad and got to play with it a bit. Now I'm confused what to do bc its soooo nice. But bf seeing them have never heard of em. Anywho, thx for any info.

simrad and lowrance share same parent company. imo i think simrad screens look better than the lowrances. the two share alot of same technology. simrad is more for ocean going vessels or at least it seems like it is. B&g is owned by same company too. if I had to do all over again i would have went with simrad.

Thx. Kinda similar to what I was told. Seems they're firing in on the smaller waters. 7"screen, touch, total scan, bayou n river maps included..... For less than other units offering the same features in the 5" screen.

lowrance and simrad have the same appropriate screens. One doesn't look better than the other.
