    Default Helix 7 G2 vs. Helix 9 G1

Looking for advice. I? am considering either the Helix 7 SI G2 for around $599 or the Helix 9 SI G1 for around $779. The Helix 9 would not have the Mega imaging like the G2 version would have. I’m not willing to pay $1299 for the HELIX 9 SI Mega G2N and I? don’t need the networking capability.

No mega available for the Helix 7. I would save my money and go for the Helix 9 with mega, you will not be sorry.

The 7 should have a slightly more detailed screen since the 7 and 9 have the same resolution specs.

Is 2" of screen size worth $200 to you?

Both models come with standard compact transducer. So if buying new, might want to consider exchanging transducer for the HDSI version. They can be exchanged as long as the package hasn't been opened and currently costs about $85.

$82.10 with shipping, I just got through doing it. Had it back to me in less than a week from when I shipped to them.

Thanks for the info. What does the HDSI transducer do that the standard transducer won’t?

Let's verify something 1st ...just to be sure in the discussion ...

HELIX 9 SI gen1 comes with the compact SI xducer that can be upgraded to the HDSI xducer ...

HELIX 9 MEGA SI G2N comes with the MEGA xducer which is the best SI xducer ...

Thanks for the information. So, would the Helix 9 SI Gen 1 with the HDSI transducer be a better choice over the Helix 7 SI G2 with the HDSI transducer?
