Default I need a verification in a HELIX 7 DI unit please ...

Can someone that has a HELIX 7 DI check in the "Connected Transducer" Menu under the Sonar tab to see if there's an option for "DI + 83/200" ...??

Ya know, I hear two testers are better than one. Send me one too and you'll have two points of data. lol

Seriously, I would be interested in the answer.

Hey, Rickie! I contacted Humminbird about this and here is the scoop:
The upgrade xducer for this unit is a XTM 9 WIDE DI 20T
    The part # is 710235-1
The rep says it has a wider cone, a lower profile to prevent snagging and will be advantage to drop-shot, jigging and I would expect it would be good for spider rigging and power trolling in deeper water. jmo
If you decide to upgrade, she says include a note with Ref # 101012678.
This is straight form the "Bird's mouth"!
Rickie, you better archive this 'cause I sho ain't gonna remember it!!

Cray, you were right about this.

The difference in cost is $30 + tax, and I'm assuming AL sales tax.

    Agreed.

I asked our favorite ace CRC gal about the new XI 9 1521 Chirp low Q iceducer (130-250kHz) and if a S/W update would be done for the H7DIG2N.

I could then use it double duty on the ice and the boat when the new S/W version is complete...

I'm hopeful, but wanna see some menu selections me'sef too!~!

Thanks Gene but I'm specifically interested in the Helix 7 DI because previous smaller HB DI units did not have the "DI + 83 /200kHz" selection like the larger units ...(800, 900, 1100, HELIX 9, 10, and 12 DI units always have had that option) ...

Rickie, I will have my new Helix 7 DI from Brian on Monday or Tuesday. That is the first thing I'll check when I hook it up and I will let you know.
