    Default Issues with 899

I started having issues with my HB 899 last week. When I powered it up it went through the boot up screen but then froze up and looked like this

I rebooted it and it worked fine that day. Was out yesterday it did the same thing but a reboot did not fix it. I unplugged the cables from the back then plugged them back in. Then it seemed to work. Was out today had the same issues but could not get to work at all no matter what I did. Name: IMG_0085.jpg

Any ideas what is going on with it? May best guess would be a bad transducer.

If you know someone with a compact or the hdsi transducer. I would check it on another transducer. You could check the transducer wire also to make sure none was nicked in anyway. Also don't rule out power supply as sonar units can do weird stuff without the right power supply.
Be safe and good luck fishing

Thanks guys. I have 2 899's on the boat I will swap them around and see if the trouble follows it. If it does I will know it is the unit and not the transducer.
