First day out with the new Hook 7. To say I'm impressed would be an understatement! Crappie fishing a lake that I havent crappie fished in 20 years. Just a few minutes on tweaking the settings and the search began. Recalling on my memory went better than expected. Found most of the old tops I was looking for and they all held fish. I caught somewhere between 100 and 125 crappie and only one keeper.

I am leaning toward this model too. I can see that there is a lot to learn as I am not sure what I am looking at on those screens.

When I took this picture it was on my first stop of the day. Factory settings. I wasn't 100%sure what I was looking at either. All I knew as soon as the jig hit the water a woild crappie hit it. Once I played with the sensitivity, color line and frequency to clean it up the I was really able to figure out what I was looking at.

Here I was barely moving with the trolling motor. The column of horizontal lines on the left side on down image is a small, skinny tree, the upper right blob was suspended crappie.
