I don't have any input but I am looking at one those to put on front while spidder rigging.
I have the new HB helix DI with gps on it, however I do not have a map card for it yet, having trouble finding the MICRO SD card in south or southeast states in both navionics and Lakemaster.....My question is can I still mark stumps and brush tops with my unit without a map card in it? I have about 25 trees ready to sink and want to make sure that I can mark them....anymore know if I can still mark gps waypoints withouth the map card ?

Yes you can, but you have to post the coordinates on this web site… just kidding about posting the coordinates part. The lake map cards are used to display additional details of the lake you are on. Any waypoints you mark with your unit get saved in the unit’s internal memory and not on a mapping card.
Greg after you save them to the unit, you can save them to a SD card can't you?

The Navionics cards are available for the Helix. All Navionics HotMaps Premium cards ship with the Micro Sd card inside of an SD card adapter sleeve. If you look at the model description it will say MSD/SD-PREM-S6. We carry the card you will need. For LakeMaster, it will be the Plus series ( 600023-3 SE states) which are due out and day now.
For the LakeMaster card, I would go to the link below and download the PDF file then find the lakes you fish and compare them to the Navionics Card to see which has the better coverage for your area > http://www.humminbird.com/WorkArea/D...t.aspx?id=6529

I have to get one of those with SI on my pontoon if I could figure a way to mount the transducer so that it could work correctly.
That is correct wannabe.
For further insurance, I would save a copy of them on my computer using the (free) HumminbirdPC program.
