Default Where is everyone??

Man I hate to see our state forum slow down like this. The spring spawn may over but there are slabs to be caught. Let's hear about some. I am going to try Leesville this weekend for bluegill till nightfall then try some lights for crappie. I'll post with the results.

I agree ,even during the prime time you had to pry posts out of people .So are people not fishing or just not posting ??Myself i will be hitting the creeks for some warm weather fishing and maybe head down to Brush Creek in a week or two.

I'll be on East Fork this weekend myself. I'll try to post some results if there are any to speak of. Good luck to all fishing the Boars Head tourney this Sunday. Looks like we might actually get some decent, stable water to fish finally. Bring the rain suits though.

I went last week end. Had some battery issues, so I mostly anchored. I didn't do very good. I noticed alot of carp activity with all the cicadas. I put on a pop-r and caught a couple of carp on the surface....what a hoot! We did manage a few crappie ove deeper trees. Fishing without a trolling motor is rough.

I'm going to CJ Brown in the morning. I've never been there. I'll post later.

Good luck at the EF tourney on Sunday.

Unhappy Dead

Hey bttmline;
I tried last year to stir up some interest in the Ohio Forum under "Deadbeats",thinking i could get someone or bodys to open up and let us know what was going on.I got a hand full of replys mostly not about fishing, but about why i hadn't chimed in on where was all my posts.I don't have a boat so i fish from the shore at C.Creek and nobody seemed interested so i just gave up.I now pronounce the "Fish Ohio Forum" DEAD..

I know you western guys always post more then the easterns but here lately seems like no one is posting. Of course, it has been really hot but now is the time to night fish. I was planning on trying tonight but I have a family reunion today. So I might have to put it off.

Most all of the State boards are slow right now. I wonder how many fisherman are going for crappie right now. Some guys are loading the boat. Look at Douglas on the Tennessee boards. There is a group of guy's there that flat catch crappie year round.

I like fishing for crappie in the summer. At least you get stable conditions and not the cold fronts that drop the air temp 30 degrees overnight and the heavy rains that bring the lake up. This has been a miserable spring in southwestern Ohio with all the heavy rains. A lot of the lakes have been so high or muddy, not to mention the quick drawdowns, that a lot of guys aren't doing very well. I think that's why no one is posting. Just not much to talk about. There were plenty of posts there for a while when everyone, including myself, was complaining about all the rain. But you can only complain so much. I am suprised with the great weather we've had this week there haven't been many posts though.
