Default Any shortcuts driving to EastFork lake?

Hi.
I've only been over to East Fork once, or twice, and really enjoyed
myself both times, but the state route #32 traffic was a bear...

Anybody know of any roads I can take to bypass # 32, and
save time to EF, I'm heading east from the Fairfield area.

Thanks.

Rick.

Default East Fork

You can go further South on I-275 to Rt. 125 through Amelia to No. on Rt 222 to Rt on Slade Rd over the dam to that launch site. Still traffic but not as much. You can also go past Rt. 222 to the Park Office Rd and go to the launch site there. We were there last month on Rt 32 and there was a sign saying it would be closing at Batavia, I don't know if it still closed. We came back from Batavia on Rt 222 to Rt. 50 to I-275, not too bad, just a little winding.

You can take 275 south to State Route 50 and go east. Stay on 50 till 222 and go right. 222 takes you towards Batavia. If you want to go to the Afton ramp, which is the closest one to 32, you can take 32 East off 222. You'll see the overpass and the signs. It's a left turn. That brings you out on the other side of all the traffic. Going that way will avoid most if not all of the traffic. You may hit a little on 50 if you come through at rush hour, but it's better than fighting 32 or dodging the ticket happy Amelia police and 25 mile an hour speeds through Amelia.
